Pregabalin and opioids may result in a serious drug–drug interaction

KEY POINT

The risk of opioid-related death was significantly higher among patients coprescribed opioids and pregabalin (Lyrica—Pfizer), according to results of a nested case control study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
