Treatment failure with dapsone/ ferrous oxalate–minocycline interaction?

KEY POINT

Case report of infection relapse in a patient with HIV taking minocycline and clarithromycin for toxoplasmic encephalitis (TE) and dapsone/ferrous oxalate (Disulone—sanofi-aventis) for primary prevention of Pneumocystitis jirovecii infection suggests an interaction between minocycline and dapsone/ferrous oxalate.
