Perimenstrual Asthma: A Common but Unstudied Condition

KEY POINT

Even though 30% to 40% of women with asthma report worsening of symptoms around the time of their menstrual period, few studies—and no randomized controlled trials—of potential therapies have provided insights into the cause and cure of perimenstrual asthma.
