Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain: Are differences among drugs clinically meaningful?

KEY POINT

In patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP), there was no difference in analgesic efficacy between amitriptyline, pregabalin (Lyrica—Pfizer), and duloxetine (Cymbalta—Lilly), but significant differences were observed in some secondary outcome measures such as the amount of disrupted sleep and total sleep time.
