From Herbals to Pumps: Diverse Options for Patients with Diabetes

KEY POINT

Patients with diabetes are successfully incorporating a broad variety of interventions into their treatment— including options ranging from high-tech insulin pumps to low-tech herbal agents. Many new approaches yield improved clinical parameters, and psychosocial data, while limited, show that patients have improved health-related quality of life with several of the innovations.
