Triple Therapy Avoids Weight Gain in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

KEY POINT

Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus achieve better glycemic control without gaining weight when they receive triple therapy—insulin, metformin, and a thiazolidinedione—than with dual therapies of insulin and metformin or insulin and a thiazolidinedione, according to a recently published study.
