HIV salvage regimens can omit nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors

KEY POINT

In treatment-experienced patients with HIV and viral resistance, optimized regimens that omitted nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) were shown to be as equally effective and safe as those that included these agents.
