Vaccination rates remain low in adolescents for ACIP-recommended vaccines

KEY POINT

Adolescent vaccination rates within the narrow age range of 11 to 12 years of age were estimated to be 18.4% for at least one dose of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, 52.1% for the tetanus–diphtheria–acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, and 45.8% for the meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY), according to results of a large observational study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health.
