Choice of bowel preparation for colonoscopy affects outcomes

KEY POINT

Use of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with simethicone for bowel preparation for colonoscopy resulted in a better adenoma detection rate and bowel cleansing and less abdominal bloating compared with PEG alone, according to results of a Chinese study published in Endoscopy.
