Fracture risk not lowered with calcium, vitamin D supplements

KEY POINT

Use of calcium, calcium plus vitamin D, or vitamin D alone by community-dwelling older adults (>50 y) did not lower the risk of fracture, according to results of a meta-analysis published in JAMA.
